Management with BARC Chair, David Drew:
“BARC is the single voice for commercial providers
of rehabilitation and the importance of this cannot
be overstated when, for example, lobbying important
stakeholders such as the Government, Insurers
and Solicitors acting for injured persons”.
“On behalf of our members we will seek to
contribute to the development of Government Policy
towards rehabilitation as a means of helping people
return to work following accident/illness”.
“We make no secret of the fact that we would like
all parties to follow the lead of those who have
adopted a strategy of rehabilitation in the claims
process, as supported by the recent MOJ report on
fast track claims”.
“BARC is hopeful that, in 2010, the UK Rehabilitation
Council will undertake and publish research on
the benefits of rehabilitation as part of their stated
objective to promote the use of rehabilitation to
employers/insurers/Government”.
